Disneyland Resort is addressing recent reports suggesting a tree fell on a visitor during a stormy Tuesday night in Southern California. In a statement to NBC Los Angeles, a resort spokesperson confirmed a tree on the Plaza Inn patio, a restaurant within the theme park, did indeed fall at approximately 11:40 p.m. on Tuesday.

The spokesperson explained that due to the rain, no diners were seated on the patio at the time. Two visitors were treated for minor injuries, though the statement did not specify the nature of their injuries. The Disney Fire Department assessed the scene, and crews worked through the night to clear the fallen tree.

Southern California experienced a storm on Tuesday, bringing mountain snow, flooded streets, and significant rainfall across the region. Another storm is expected later this week, adding to the recent weather challenges in the Southland.
