Huawei is celebrating a decade of smartwatch success with the launch of its 10th anniversary watch. This special edition model is a unique twist on the recently released Watch 5, featuring a personalized nylon braided silicon composite strap adorned with a '10' logo, marking Huawei's 10th anniversary in the smartwatch market. But this isn't just a pretty timepiece; it's packed with innovative features that set it apart from the competition. The watch boasts a spherical sapphire glass aerospace-grade titanium case for the 46mm version and a 904L steel case for the 42mm version. The visuals are powered by an LTPO 2.0 AMOLED display with up to 3000 nit peak brightness, enhanced by 1.8mm ultra-narrow bezels. But the real standout is the X-Tap sensor, which combines ECG, PPG, and a 10-level tactile sensor into a single module, providing health insights with a single tap and real-time SpO2 measurement in just 10 seconds. The watch also offers various health and fitness tracking features, delivering a smart user experience with up to 4.5 days of typical usage on a single charge, or up to 11 days with power-saving mode enabled. Huawei has also integrated DeepSeek AI, allowing for real-time voice interactions through its voice assistant. The HarmonyOS 6 comes with custom 10th anniversary watch faces and a personalized watch face with a health-oriented matrix and dynamic animations. Since its first smartwatch launch in 2015, Huawei has brought over 30 smartwatches to consumers, each equipped with new designs, health and fitness features, performance upgrades, and cutting-edge technologies. The company has sold millions of smartwatches globally, and its sales progress in the first three quarters of 2025 has been significant, with over 28 million units sold and an 18.6% global market share. The Watch GT 6 series, launched in the third quarter, is leading this sales performance, featuring HarmonyOS 6, a new Kirin chip, screen and battery upgrades. The Huawei Watch 10th anniversary edition is currently available in China, with a global launch yet to be announced. As a tech enthusiast, Deng Li, who uses mostly Huawei smartphones, is excited about this latest release, eager to explore its innovative features and technologies.
